Earls Barton Bowls Club Competition Rules

All participants must be full members of Earls Barton Bowling Club.

The prescribed entrance fee per player must accompany the entry form.

The ‘Play By’ dates form an essential part of the competitions.

To avoid problems, competitors are urged to play each round at the earliest possible date.

If a competitor is absent at the agreed start time, only 30 minutes grace will be allowed for their arrival. If still absent after 30 minutes, the non-defaulting competitor may claim the game.

Player Responsibilities

Whilst both parties have a common interest in arranging the date for their match, it is the challenger, (first named in the draw), who is responsible for offering three possible dates, (one of them being a weekend), to their opponent. These dates should be offered well in advance of the ‘Play-by’ date.

The first named, (challenger) is responsible for choosing and booking the rink as well as arranging a marker, where necessary.
