Neil Gould
Club President / Fixtures Secretary
Neil continues to serve the bowls club with honour and leads from the front, inspiring both new and seasoned members with his dedication and leadership. His commitment ensures the club thrives as a welcoming and competitive community. Qualified coach, Neil is always available to assist new and existing members with their technique. Seasoned competitor at National, County and Club level. Neil is a winner.

David Knight
Chairman
Quietly efficient, unerringly loyal, deeply competitive. David has held numerous posts within the bowls club and continues to support all aspects of club activities. Leads from the front on the rink with his immaculate etiquette and well honed bowling skills.

Phil wright
Head Groundskeeper
Phil is a knowledgeable and dedicated groundskeeper, who takes enormous pride in ensuring the excellent conditions we enjoy at Earls Barton. Awarded Greenkeeper of the Year 2022 at the National Bowls England Awards.

David Rust
Vice President / Club Captain
David is the organiser of our popular ‘Gala’ day and also a qualified bowls coach. He dedicates his time to coaching local youth, warmly welcoming them to our club and fostering their skills in the sport.

John Purcell
Vice Captain
John is celebrating years of bowling with Earls Barton and has experienced most things that can happen to a bowler, Highs and Lows. Member of our last successful team to win the Manfield Cup in 2021. John continues to support all aspects of the club and is most welcoming to new members offering assistance and encouragement to all.

Paul Hughes
Club Treasurer
Paul brings energy and camaraderie to the team. When not managing finances or showcasing his bowling skills, he’s a passionate football enthusiast!

Phil Gibson
Club Secretary
The calming and efficient manner in which Phil carries out the Secretary’s role at Earls Barton is to be commended. Phil’s role is a complete year of tasks to maintain the smooth running and communication to all members, village and county organisations, as well as finding time to bowl!

Ian Butcher
Bar Manager
Ultra competitive, Ian partakes in all levels of competition. He is our current Club Champion as well as Novice Champion, winning both in the same season, (2024)! Organises the ‘team’ that provide Bar Services during matches and social events. Sincerely loyal member of the club and dedicates hours to work at the ground as well as running the Bar.

Melvyn Johnson
Competitions Secretary
Melvyn’s casual, relaxed approach to his duties within the club, belie his competitive nature and skill as a bowler. Also celebrating his tenth year at the club, Melvyn is also an ardent supporter of all club games and activities. Also a member of our last successful Manfield Cup Team
